Nicholas Cutaia, based in New York, serves as co-chair of the Litigation Group and represents clients in a wide array of complex commercial disputes in federal and state courts as well as in arbitration. His practice includes M&A litigation, partnership and investor conflicts, and securities-related matters, including class action defense. He also co-leads the firm’s law firm defense practice, representing Am Law 100 and 200 and other elite firms in high-stakes legal malpractice cases.
Derek Domian, a Boston-based litigator, advises clients on a wide spectrum of complex disputes, including commercial, real estate, leasing, professional liability, and intellectual property matters. He represents clients in state and federal courts at both the trial and appellate levels, as well as in arbitration, mediation, and proceedings before regulatory agencies. The clients Domian serves include real estate investors and developers, commercial landlords and tenants, partnerships and joint ventures, in-house counsel, and lawyers and law firms facing malpractice and disciplinary claims.
Jennifer Furey, Boston-based co-chair of the Litigation Group, concentrates her practice on intellectual property, commercial, and employment litigation. She represents individuals and businesses in IP matters involving utility and design patents, trademarks, trade dress, trade secrets, false advertising, and copyrights, as well as in high-stakes commercial disputes and employment litigation.
Matt Horvitz, a Boston-based employment lawyer and counselor, focuses his practice on wage-and-hour disputes, class actions, and the full range of workplace-related challenges. Alongside a robust commercial litigation practice, he advises employers and executives engaged in disputes in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies. He also guides employers on internal policies, procedures, training, investigations, and compliance with state and federal regulations. In addition, Horvitz assists clients with accessibility concerns and litigation tied to fair housing and disability laws.
Gary Ronan, co-chair of the firm’s probate and fiduciary litigation practice in Boston, represents individuals and families in family disputes, fiduciary duty claims, trust matters, and partnership or LLC conflicts. He also advises clients on real estate issues such as zoning, leasing, permitting, and related disputes. In the professional liability space, Ronan defends lawyers and law firms in malpractice cases and provides counsel on legal ethics. He further serves the firm as Assistant General Counsel.
Richard Rosensweig, a Boston-based litigator, defends lawyers and law firms facing professional malpractice and disciplinary claims, and counsels them on ethical issues and regulatory investigations. He also manages complex corporate and securities litigation and serves as Goulston & Storrs’ General Counsel.
Adam Safer, a commercial litigator in New York, represents clients in a wide variety of business and real estate disputes, including matters involving purchase and sale agreements, joint ventures, leasing, statutory claims, and construction. He also advises companies in employment-related disputes, with a particular focus on restrictive covenants. Safer additionally serves as the firm’s Assistant General Counsel.
Richard Zielinski, practicing out of both Boston and New York, is a nationally recognized “bet-the-company” trial lawyer with extensive experience in complex, high-stakes commercial litigation. He is particularly noted for representing major law firms nationwide in legal malpractice defense, disciplinary proceedings, and intra-firm disputes. Zielinski also handles a broad spectrum of business and real estate disputes and defends manufacturers in product liability, mass tort, and class action cases. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers.
